Terms of Service

Acceptance

By registering for, accessing, or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

Accounts & keys

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and your Mizan API keys (mizan_rt_...). Keys are shown once at creation; treat them like any other secret. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and keys. Notify us immediately at naim@app-mizan.com if you believe a key has been compromised. Revoking a key stops new requests immediately but does not remove historical usage records, which are needed for billing and audit.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Attempt to probe, scan, or circumvent the Service's security or rate limits.
• Share, sublicense, resell, or make your keys available to parties not authorized by you.
• Use the Service to build a competing model, extract training data, or reverse engineer the platform, the providers, or the underlying models.
• Distribute malware, send spam, or conduct phishing through the Service.
• Store provider API keys or credentials insecurely, or transmit them to Mizan outside the intended connection flow.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its subprocessors, or the providers it routes to.

You are responsible for the content you submit through the gateway and for ensuring it complies with the terms and policies of the underlying model providers.

Wallet & credits

Prepaid wallet credits are purchased in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law or as we determine in our sole discretion. Wallet top-ups may include a service fee, which is shown at checkout before payment. Usage billed to your wallet is debited at the rates published in the Service at the time of the request; a service fee is not re-applied per request. If your balance reaches zero, wallet-funded requests are rejected until you top up. We may freeze a wallet if we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

Bring-your-own-key

When you connect your own provider account and route traffic through it (BYOK), you remain bound by that provider's terms of service, and your use of the provider is directly between you and the provider. Mizan passes through the provider's costs for display and attribution; it does not bill your wallet for BYOK calls. If a connected credential is invalid, expired, or misused, the provider may charge, suspend, or terminate your account, and Mizan is not responsible for that.

Pricing & changes

Model prices change as providers change their rates; the price for a request is the one in effect at the time the request is made, as reflected in the Service. We may update fees or add fees for new features with reasonable notice. Existing wallet credits continue to be usable under the terms in effect when they were purchased. See Wallet & billing for details.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by Mizan and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during the term of your account. You retain all rights to your data and content. We do not claim ownership of your prompts, completions, or provider data.

Third-party models

The Service routes requests to models operated by third parties. Those models are provided “as is” by their respective providers, and their outputs are not endorsed by Mizan. You are responsible for evaluating model outputs before relying on them, including for correctness, bias, and safety. The providers' own terms and privacy policies govern the content you submit to them.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by contacting naim@app-mizan.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if required by law. Upon termination, we will delete your data as described in our Data Retention policy, except where we are required to retain records (for example, billing and tax).

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that spend figures are free from errors introduced by provider billing APIs. Usage and cost data are estimates and may be corrected later.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mizan and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
